When we want to change something about ourselves, instead of “being” our actions or “becoming” a better person in some way, we merely “do” something differently, and so remain separated from the act or change that we desire. When we adopt some external process to do, rather than a new and better way to be, the body and mind remain fundamentally unchanged. What’s needed is not the addition of a new activity, but a change in the foundation from which all our actions arise. Read more
Here are the articles about NeuroFeedback. Neurofeedback is a great way to train the brain. The FocusBand is Neurofeedback brain training headset.
The FocusBand Mushin Drills trains the athlete to a more sensitive body feeling-awareness
How well we can perform physically depends largely on the accuracy and sensitivity of our senses. Not only the five senses, but, perhaps even more importantly, our “feeling-awareness” of the whole body. After all, the key to effective movement is built right into the design of each human structure. The more fully we can feel our bodies, the easier it is to live and move in accordance with this design. A finely tuned sense of our own bodies is what makes us athletes or artists or masters. Anyone can train activities— to increase ability, we need to train our sense of feeling-awareness. But what is feeling-awareness? When we hear athletes speak of being “in the zone” we might imagine a special trance-like state that makes them capable of great feats of skill.
FocusBand founders Henry & Graham Boulton will be exhibiting at the Sports Psychology Conference in Orlando USA with their partners in this field, Marty Wuttke & Carrie Paine from the Wuttke Institute.
Graham & Henry who are Electronic Engineers built their own 3D Body Motion System after they started T 2 Green Pty Ltd in 2002 which is now used by leading coaches including EA Tischler. This highlighted to them that just having sound biomechanics, while important, did not necessarily produce results under the pressures of tournament conditions.
Beyond Performance Sports was launched August 19, 2017. Beyond Performance Sports is a blended training program leveraging a psychological skills training program (PST) such as self-efficacy and imagery can be integrated with neural feedback, HRV, meditation and breathing routines for player development. The blended training program integrates meditation and breathing programs to enable player to manage their cognitive and somatic anxiety and emotion regulation. The BPS program also incorporates a neural feedback technology called FocusBand
Here are the topics discussed by the BPS’ Team of Experts.
ADHD is an unfortunate learning disability that affects many children and can hamper their behavior, moods and learning capabilities. Children with ADHD are characterized by having very short attention spans, bursts of positive and negative moods, abnormal behavior and poor memory and concentration. Neurofeedback can help train your child’s brain and regulate their brain activity and functioning.
Why is it important to treat your child for ADHD?
Your brain activity controls and determines everything that you do and feel. Most of us have normal or close to normal brain function that allows us to perform our daily activities properly. But some people have imbalances in their brain or chronic emotions that interfere with their day to day lives. Here is where neurofeedback comes in.
The Wuttke Institute is currently working with FocusBand to develop new and exciting tools to expand the reach of Neurofeedback beyond the clinical environment and into the home, field and workplace. In Motion EEG™ Brainwave training
The Wuttke Institute is currently using the FocusBand for In Motion EEG™ Brainwave training in response to the ever-increasing market for on-the-go and at home brain training.
The Wuttke Institute EEG guided custom protocols will help support their clients to continue and deepen the work when they are at a distance or at home.
FocusBand empowers the user to achieve a more desirable mental state by using the real-time Avatar and Neurofeedback tools. It will guide the user through the process on how to control and reduce stress and cognitive anxiety in minutes.

The role of the mind in physical performance cannot be overstated. From investigating basic physical forces like gravity, to adopting new and more powerful ways of using the body, every improvement begins with the mind.
To learn effectively the mind needs to be calm. When “calm” is mentioned this does not mean lazing under a palm tree on a tropical beach, ready to doze off!
It is quite the opposite
FocusBand is totally a NeuroFeedback training device.
Neurofeedback is direct training of brain function, by which the brain learns to function more efficiently. We monitor the brain’s activity from moment to moment. We display that information back to the user and we reward the brain for changing its own activity to appropriate frequency bands.
